Seven employees of the stud farm were awarded the title of Hero of socialist labor for the success in sheep breeding, and five became winners of State awards for the new breed of fine-wooled sheep, called "salskiy merinos". Also field crops recieved five stars of Heroes of socialist labor. And the staff of the stud farm was awarded the order of Lenin and the Red Star. Now the stud farm named after S. M. Budyonny is inextricably linked with Agrosoyuz "Yug Rusi". The farming became a part of one of the country's largest agricultural holdings 10 years ago.
